Pacific Industrial Co., Ltd. is a prominent high-end quality Pacific Textile Resin supplier in Taiwan. Pacific Composite offers epoxy resin system for fiber composites and prepreg materials. We have two epoxy resin suitable for thermoset and thermal-forming processes. We also develop color resin for carbon fiber material, fiberglass material and other surface treatment resin products.
  • Thermoset Epoxy Resin - 7-1
    Thermoset Epoxy Resin
    Pacific offers 4 different types of thermoset epoxy resin systems, including:
    1. Room Temperature Cure Resin System: 
    a. PRR-RT SERIES:
     Feature: Medium viscosity, excellent wet-out of fiberglass, carbon and aramid fibers.
     Curing Condition: RT~100℃
     Suitable Process: Wet layup / RTM / RI

    b. PRR-ADR SERIES:
     Feature: Adhesives / Glues, this series is an epoxy based adhesives that is designed for fiber composite adhesion. Three hardeners are available for use with this series and give good peel strength for adherent composites.
     Curing Condition: RT~100℃


    2. Low Temperature Cure Resin System:
    a. PRL-213 SERIES:
     Feature: Higher temperature service requirement, designed for structural applications with higher thermal resistance and gives excellent wet-out of fiberglass, carbon and aramid fibers.
     Curing Condition: 80℃~150℃
     Suitable Process: Wet layup / RTM 

    b. PRL-0428 SERIES:
     Feature: Low curing temperature, and low curing pressure; suitable for large and/or thick-walled curing parts.
     Curing Condition: 75℃~120℃
     Suitable Process: Autoclave / Press moulding / VBO available

    3. Medium Temperature Cure Resin System:
    a. PRM-TOUT SERIES:
     Feature: Toughened epoxy systems. This series is toughened and controlled flow epoxy matrixes designed for outer pressure processes, featuring:
    1. Good impact strength
    2. Remarkable fatigue resistance 
    3. Less fiber misalignment appearance resistance
     Curing Condition: 130℃~150℃
     Suitable Process: SW/bladder moulding / Press moulding

    b. PRM-IP SERIES:
     Feature: Toughened epoxy systems. This series is toughened and controlled flow epoxy matrixes designed for inner pressure processes, featuring:
    1. Good impact strength
    2. Remarkable fatigue resistance
     Curing Condition: 130℃~150℃
     Suitable Process: Bladder moulding / Press moulding

    c. PRM-622 SERIES:
     Feature: With no change of curing parameters under current medium temperature (at 150℃) curing process, this series can impart a shiny and transparent skin to the cured products as well as no 'white spot' after sanding with water. Excellent for woven fabrics.
     Curing Condition: 125℃~150℃

    d. PRM-HTG351 SERIES:
     Feature: Toughened epoxy systems; god hot performance.
     Curing Condition: 125℃~150℃
     Suitable Process: Press moulding / Bladder moulding / Autoclave
    4. High Temperature Cure Resin System:
    a. PRH-HTG434 SERIES:
     Feature: Toughened epoxy system, good hot performance
     Curing Condition: 180℃
     Suitable Process: SW moulding / Autoclave / Press moulding

    b. PRH-HTGII SERIES:
     Feature: Toughened epoxy system, good hot performance
     Curing Condition: 180℃
     Suitable Process: Autoclave / Press moulding

    c. PRH-MB5M1P SERIES
     Feature: Toughened BMI system; for the requirement of high temperature service above 200℃. In application where the cured composites parts are lightly loaded, short period exposure above 250℃ can be sustained.
     Curing Condition: 180℃
     Suitable Process: Autoclave / Press moulding



    5. Rapid Cure Resin System:
    a. PRM-D1-R SERIES:
     Feature: 
    1. Toughened epoxy resin
    2. High cycle moulding process
    3. 150℃/3 minutes or 130℃/10 minutes. 
    4. High temperature demoulding available (Hot-in-Hot-out).
     Curing Condition: 120℃~150℃
     Suitable Process: Vacuum bag / Autoclave / Press moulding

    b. PRM-D2-R SERIES:
     Feature: 
    1. Toughened epoxy resin
    2. High cycle moulding process
    3. 150℃/3 minutes or 130℃/10 minutes. 
    4. High temperature demoulding available (Hot-in-Hot-out).
    5. For both the application of prepreg of longfiber and sheet molding compound.
     Curing Condition: 120℃~150℃
     Suitable Process: Vacuum bag / Autoclave / Press moulding


    6. Flame Retardant Resin System:
    a. PRM-D1-RF SERIES:
     Feature: 
    1. UL94(V0)
    2. FAR 25.853(FST)
    3. Rapid cure at 150℃/10 minutes.
    4. High temperature demoulding avaliable (Hot-in-Hot-out).
     Curing Condition: 150℃
     Suitable Process: Press moulding

    b. PRM-MTC2-RF SERIES:
     Feature: 
    1. FAR 25.853(FST+HRR)
    2. Designed to meet FST and HRR requirements for aircraft cabin interiors.
     Curing Condition: 135℃~150℃
     Suitable Process: Press moulding

    c. PRH-HTG-RF:
     Feature: 
    1. FAR 25.853(FST+HRR)
    2. Flame retardant epoxy system with above 150℃ service capabilities.
     Curing Condition: 180℃
     Suitable Process: Press moulding
  • Thermal-forming Epoxy Resin - 7-2
    Thermal-forming Epoxy Resin
    To fulfill the demand for thermoplastic type of product, Pacific is proud to introduce the new product series: Thermal-formal Epoxy System - the PRM-TF Series. The PRM-TF Series is a thermal forming epoxy resin system, which is modified to have characteristics as thermal plastics at forming temperature. The composites formed by PRM-TF Series not only remain the same advantages such as mechanical properties and fatigue resistance as thermosetting epoxy, but also have good ability on impact performance that is similar to thermal plastics. Composite reforming is possible.

    We offer 2 different types of thermoset epoxy resin systems, including:
    1. PRM-TF-01 Series:
     Features:
    1. Transparent appearance especially for woven components
    2. Solution type resin system
    3. Easy to process
    4. Designed for hot press moulding 
    5. Tg ≧90℃
     Physical Properties:
    1. Flexural Strength (0∘) = 486 MPa
    2. Flexural Modulus (0∘) = 57  Gpa
    3. SBS(Short Beam Shear Strength) = 54 MPa

     Testing Condition: 
    1. Fiber Volume: 55%, 2/2 Twill Style Fabric
    2. Test Curing/Forming Condition: 180℃/10 minutes + 230℃/1 minute
    3. Test Condition: ASTM Standard

    2. PRM-TF-03 Series:
     Features:
    1. Transparent appearance especially for woven components
    2. Solution type resin system
    3. Easy to process
    4. Designed for hot press moulding 
    5. Tg ≧120℃

  • Color Resin for Fiberglass Fiber & Fabrics - 7-3
    Color Resin for Fiberglass Fiber & Fabrics
    Pacific has developed color resins specifically for fiberglass materials.  As fiberglass is the relatively cost-effective material for composites products, color options on fiberglass fiber/fabric is important to market.  

    Our color resin solution is available for fiberglass fiber and fiberglass fabric coloring process, and our fiberglass color resin system is available for both thermoset forming process and thermoplastic forming process.

    For thermoset process, the color resins are designed to have good compatibility with epoxy resin system.  Color attachment on fiberglass is very stable for hot-melt epoxy resin systems (150℃/30 minutes). After thermal process, no color detachment or fade-out should be found.  Pacific Color Resin System is also compatible with Pacific Solution Type Epoxy Resin System.  For other solution type epoxy resin system, compatibility needs to be tested. 

    For thermoplastic process, the color resins are designed to have good compatibility with PC, PU, TPU and PET resin system, the color attachment is stable for process temperature ranging from 130℃ to 220℃/30 minutes.  For higher process temperature requirement, please contact us for discussion.  

    We offer variety of colors.  With Panton color code or color samples, we can provide customized color matching service and products.

    Color Resin for Carbon Fiber Fabrics&Other Surface Treatment
    Pacific has developed color resins specifically for carbon fabrics.  In general, we see black carbon in the market.  For past decades, carbon fiber is used for its excellent strength and ultra-low weight feature, so the only available black color was able to fulfill market demand.   As customization has become the leading trend in the market, consumers are looking for varieties when they shop for their sports equipment, mountain backpacks and personalized shoes/apparels; meanwhile, designers and marketing experts are looking for new materials to tell an attractive new story to catch consumer’s attentions.  To catch this trend and demand, we developed color resin for carbon fabrics.  The advantage of our color carbon fabric is its excellent color attachment.  Our color resin for carbon fabric is designed for thermoset application (epoxy resin system), and the color attachment is very stable for 150℃/30 minutes molding process.  No color detachment or fade-out should be found after thermal process.  For thermoplastic application with high temperature requirements (≧150℃/30), customized color solution on carbon fabrics is available upon discussion.
